Review: THE TROUBLE WITH PLAYING CUPID, by Tamara Phillip

5 STARS!

If you want the sweetest most feel-good romance imaginable, read this book. In my lifetime I’ve known two couples who seemed to be over-the-moon happy in their marriages, and I thought about them the whole time I read the TROUBLE WITH PLAYING CUPID. I love the needle and thread analogy that Tom, the gorgeous British leading guy, uses—how you can keep trying to thread a needle and snipping the thread and nothing syncs. Then suddenly the thread lines up and you just know it’s going to work. Tom says, “..what if that’s what finding your soul mate is like? That you’re the needle and the threads are different people in your life but once the one for you shows up, you just know by gut instinct. And you didn’t need to have your heart broken a billion times to know it.” I also loved the main character, December. Even though she’s a super talent and generous to a fault, she’s quirky, approachable, and needing to find her missing puzzle piece—Tom.
